Scope
The water sector faces unprecedented challenges and is turning to
innovation and smart processes to tackle the world’s water scarcity, climate
change, water resources pollution, global food security, and more. Since
the available water resources are limited and to obtain more yields with
less water use, efficient management of available water with improved
water productivity is direly needed to meet future food demands.
Various innovative and smart approaches, recently developed, can improve
water management and accelerate the progress toward achieving multiple
sustainable development goals (SDGs), ensuring that no one is left behind.
The 2024 ICWAS Conference will bring together researchers from different
disciplines and other relevant societal actors to jointly discuss and explore
the latest findings on processes, methods, and technologies for innovative
solutions in a Water-Wise World. Participants will discover Innovation &
Smart Water approaches in wastewater treatment, their reuse and smart
irrigation techniques for a two-day showcase of the inspiring collaborations
producing the most successful innovation projects in water management.
